Battle of the Four Towers

Welcome to the Battle of the Four Towers!

Four Towers have long been at war. For centuries the leaders of the towers were unable to conclude their petty fighting. No matter how often they were attacked, a strong defence always matched it.

Until history erased it. Events were rewritten and scrapped from books as people turned their battle into a ‘sport’.

The rich would gamble their money as the poor only hoped to win the grand prize. Teams would enter and leave as enemies. Alliances between Towers were formed, only for friendships to end. The power of money convinced anyone.

Inspired by the hit Manga Liar Game, Battle of the Four Towers is an adaptation of the final game. I spent a couple years failing to make this game, for 1 YouTube video, as I knew so little about programming a multiplayer game. However, recently, the project was finished and the video was uploaded.

What is Battle of the Four Towers?

Battle of the four towers sees four towers staring down at each other, each one containing 100 Life Points (LP). Each round, a tower can choose to either attack another tower or defend from another tower. The towers can make up to 3 actions each turn, and each action costs 1 LP.

If a tower successfully attacks, then the attacked tower loses 3 LP. If they managed to defend, then they lose nothing other than the LP spent on defending.

Development

Originally, this game started development back in 2020. It was made for a YouTube video and I had no intention of turning it into a full game. As time moved on, and the YouTube video eventually finished, Id decided to continue development and release it as a full game.

Below you can find a link to the Devlog around this game where you can find more information about the development process.

Gameplay

If you wish to watch some gameplay of this game in action, you can do so with this video:

Note: The gameplay in this video is from an early development build. The game has changed since then.
